Hello, family and friends, this is your First Officer (and official navigator) speaking! Currently, the Captain has stopped for fuel in a small unknown town. We have Grace in the back. She doesn't have an official title yet.
The morning started off in Toledo Iowa with a missed alarms and excellent scrambled eggs. Despite little sleep, the Captain and I set off on the beginning of a lot of driving, adventures, and bad jokes.
After a selfie with Grandma, we headed to Des Moines to pick up our first; passenger. We had lunch at 10:30 and started to load Grace's things in the car. Once we shoved her suitcase in, we realized that we weren't going to have any room for any more luggage. However, we know we're prepared: we have two bags of food, pillows, and a book of clean jokes. Grandpa would be proud.
We took another selfie, of course.
Off to Nebraska City to pick up two more passengers...and hopefully find room in the car. We can always strap Grace to the roof.
